GenoCon2 Contest

For GenoCon2 2012 Contest entrants special notices. http://GenoCon.org Design synthetic DNA sequences on the computer as solutions to complex problem assignments. Design a plant promoter DNA sequence using the PromoterCAD software to search for functional regulatory DNA. Make a promoter which controls specific expression in a plant tissue such as leaf, stem, or root, or only at a particular time of day. Accepted DNA designs will be synthesized, transformed into real plants, and tested for gene expression! Tools used on this platform allow you to create easy and accessible solutions to problems, even for non-specialists and students. Challenge yourself today!

LOx feed system for hybrid rocket

I have a project to design, build, and test the fluid feed system for a liquid oxygen hybrid rocket engine able to deliver up to 1000N of thrust. This project will focus on design build and test a simple LOX feed system including valves and propellant / pressurant containers (tanks), that can be tested. Is there any sort of guideline you can help me with in the designing this system? Anything from safety to designing any tips at all? kindest thanks Paris K1125231@kingston.ac.uk astroparis@hotmail.co.uk Rocket specification h 20cm diameter h 15kg dry mass budget h Max. Combustion pressure 50Bar h Max estimated thrust: 1000N h Quantity of LOx oxidiser: Minimum 3 litres. Maximum 10 litres. h Proof Pressure testing of all fluid components to 1.5 maximum working pressure for safety.

flower pattern in goecentrism 2

A claim is made by Dr Neville Jones here - http://www.geocentricperspective.com/Flower%20Pattern.htm that the earth is in a unique location in the local planetary system. The discussion is aimed at discovering the veracity of the claims made that the planets make uniform concentric flower shaped patterns around the earth and make chaotic flower shaped patterns when any other pattern is considered to be stationary. The diagram shown in the above link seems to be problematic due to the location of Saturn and Jupiter orbit paths and the shapes of those paths. If Dr Jone wishes to answer problems associated with his diagram, this would assist in the geocentric/heliocentric debate.
